Empowering Underserved Communities to Transition to Clean Energy Sources
OC Goes Solar is committed to supporting local programs to provide clean energy sources for low-income communities. One such partner is CRECE Urban Farms.
CRECE Urban Farms is a five-member, co-op-run project committed to bringing food sovereignty and a cooperative economy to Orange County and knowledge sharing within the community. CRECE’s 1/3 acre demonstration urban farm grows mixed vegetables year-round. La Granjita, as the farm is known locally, offers a space to heal, organize, bring together the community, share skills and ancestral knowledge, and build community-powered economic resilience. CRECE supports and advocates for new and emerging BIPOC Urban Farmers and Earth Stewards to make a Just Transition to a community-led resilient food system.
