Solarize Irvine, in partnership with the City of Irvine, helps residents go solar, provides solar education and access to group discounts for solar, battery storage & EV chargers.

The City of Irvine has partnered with the nonprofit OC Goes Solar to simplify the process of going solar by providing solar education, group discounts, and educational resources to the community. Since 2017, OC Goes Solar has assisted over 600 homeowners in Irvine and the surrounding communities. The program is open to all Orange County residents.

This program offers informative workshops on the benefits of going solar and group pricing discounts for solar power, battery storage, and EV chargers. The free workshops are open to all Orange County residents, businesses, and nonprofits. Start saving money on your electricity bill and powering your home with clean energy!

How Does Solarize Irvine Work? 

We encourage residents to attend our solar education workshops by signing up for Solarize Irvine to learn more about going solar.

  • Residents will be connected to our approved installers, selected by our committee of community members, where the installers will determine the suitability of your home for a solar installation and provide an initial financial analysis.

  • If you remain interested, installers will conduct an assessment site and prepare a detailed preliminary proposal for your home.

  • The installers will then discuss system size, cost, equipment, and financing options, including the 30% Federal Solar Investment Tax Credit.

  • At this point, you choose an installer, decide whether to approve the estimate and sign a contract. To participate, you must finalize this decision before the campaign deadline.

  • Your selected installer will next complete the necessary engineering, design work, and permitting—including HOA approval, and schedule installation for your project.

And with that, you start saving money on your electricity bill and powering your home with clean energy!
